Objectives

Earth

To design, develop and use EAV land in ways that enhance the natural environment, and exemplify living in right relationship with the Earth. (Permaculture, Wholistic Resource Management, Xeriscaping, residence clustering, etc.)
To construct energy efficient, ecologically sound living, learning, working and playing environments, using sustainable design, methods and materials. (alternative building, off-grid systems, aesthetic designs, etc.)
To research and develop common energy, water and food sources, and waste management systems for those living on and visiting the land. (appropriate technologies, shared resources, etc.)
To make the surplus produced on the land, and services, available to the broader community.
To honor and steward indigenous wildlife and the domestic livestock that support community life.
To host programs that offer visitors the opportunity to experience Nature deeply, and to learn about sustainable living experientially.

Art

To encourage and support a daily experience of culture and the arts as part of healthy community life, including a broad range of creativity and expression - musical, visual, tactile, textile, written, theatrical and movement, and offering performances and products to the broader community.

Village / Community

To explore and use the principles and practices of conscious relationships and personal responsibility - living and learning them together, as a basis for healthy community.
To create cooperative systems for project roles, responsibilities and relationships.
To balance privacy and solitude with social and group activities.
To support the health and highest potential of all members - physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, socially, environmentally and economically.
To be a resource and model of sustainable community - a living demonstration site for educational programs, work exchange, cultural and artistic events and other experiential activities, based on these goals and members' interests and talents.
To embrace the mystery, adventure and fun of life in all EarthArt Village endeavors.
To network and manage outreach systems, linking EarthArt Village with related projects.
