Introduction
EarthArt Village is in very early stages of development on 480 acres in the Northern San Luis Valley, Colorado. There are two permanent residents, see Who's Who at EarthArt. Others for whom EarthArt is home - a dog, a cat, six horses, 9 laying hens, and a rooster. See - EarthArt Critters.
Visitors are welcome at EarthArt, during the months of MAY - OCTOBER.

EarthArt Construction Laborer Paid Position
Dave is constructing Phase I of Harmony House the summer of 2007 through spring 2008. Phase II will occur from spring 2008 through spring 2009. He is willing to hire someone to help with this effort 20 to 30 hours per week. CONTACT DAVE
The tasks this person would be involved with include:
- Rough Framing - exterior and interior walls, roofing, loft (Phase II)
- Metal roof installation (Phase II)
- Window and Door construction and installation
- Plumbing rough in / Electrical rough in
- Insulation - walls and ceiling - cotton batting
- Foundation backfilling (Phase II)
- Earthen floor
- Interior finished carpentry
- Excavation, forming and concrete work for footer (Phase II)
- Strawbale construction & Stuccoing (Phase II)

- Lumber measuring and cutting (power saws)
- Nailing - manual and nail gun
- Drilling & screwing (lots on metal roof)
- Manual digging
- Hauling and lifting - dirt, rock, lumber
- A willingness to work hard and learn is more important than already having these skills. This is a great opportunity to participate in many areas of home construction.
- Pay will be negotiated depending on skill level of individual.
*There is also opportunity to combine this with EarthArt work exchange (see below).*

Work Exchange:
- visit period of three days to two weeks;
- working no less than 6 hrs per day, some evenings & weekends required;
- participating in general housekeeping and maintenance;
- honoring EarthArt Agreements and participating in scheduled activities;
- having ample time to visit and get involved in near-by Crestone and the greater San Luis Valley.
- All visitors must have their own transportation.
Accommodations:
Trailer hook-up for visitors with RV, sleeping nook in common building, or occasional camping (wind & weather permitting).
1+ meal worth of food provided daily:
Food is mainly regionally grown organic foods. Some shared meals. If you have special dietary needs or desires, please plan to provide for them yourself.
